This policy explains what information MarginCue collects, how it is used, when it may be shared, and the privacy choices available at launch.
Effective date: March 17, 2026
1. Who this policy applies to
This Privacy Policy explains how MarginCue collects, uses, stores, and shares information when restaurant operators, team members, prospects, and website visitors use MarginCue or interact with our public marketing pages.
MarginCue is designed for business use. If you provide information to us on behalf of a restaurant group or other business, that business may also have its own obligations regarding the information it chooses to share with MarginCue.
2. Information we collect
We may collect contact details such as name, work email address, company name, restaurant count, POS provider, and other information submitted through signup, demo booking, onboarding, or support workflows.
We may also collect account data, authentication identifiers, tenant and user metadata, billing and subscription status, operational usage data, logs, device or browser information, and records needed to maintain security, performance, and support.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide and operate MarginCue, authenticate users, provision workspaces, process subscriptions, respond to demo or support requests, improve product reliability, and communicate about service updates or account activity.
We may also use information to analyze product usage, prevent abuse, enforce our legal terms, comply with legal obligations, and improve the quality of our pricing, reporting, and onboarding experiences.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
MarginCue may use cookies or similar storage technologies that are necessary for site functionality, session continuity, authentication, preferences, and basic measurement of product and marketing flows.
Where required, MarginCue will present a cookie notice or consent control before using non-essential cookies. Browser settings may also let you limit certain cookies, though some site functionality may stop working as expected.
5. How we share information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate MarginCue, such as hosting providers, authentication vendors, payment processors, email vendors, analytics or error-monitoring tools, and infrastructure providers acting on our instructions.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our agreements, protect users or the public, respond to lawful requests, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale. We do not sell personal information in the ordinary course of operating MarginCue.
6. Data retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, or security obligations.
MarginCue uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. No system is completely secure, so you should also protect your credentials and notify us if you suspect misuse.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection relating to personal information, subject to applicable legal limitations and business records we must keep.
You may also opt out of non-essential marketing emails using the unsubscribe options provided in those communications. For account and data requests, contact us using the details below.
8. International processing
MarginCue and its service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you are located. When we do so, we take steps intended to ensure appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable privacy law.
By using MarginCue, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection rules than your own.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or operational updates. When we do, we will update the effective date on this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
Your continued use of MarginCue after an updated policy becomes effective means the updated version will apply going forward.
